Make your own Corky the intrepid zip wire adventurer

This is Corky...like I used to make when I was a kid.

      You'll need:

  • A cork
  • A wire champagne holder thingy (nerdy technical term there)
  • Matchsticks
  • A glue gun
  • Wool scraps
  • A black felt tip
  • A long piece of string
Draw a face on the cork.

Corky can be a girl.

Cut small lengths (shorts :o) of wool for hair.
Glue them on with a parting in the middle if you like.

Either glue the matchstick arms and legs on or poke them into holes
you make with a sharpish skewer (get an adult to this perhaps).

And this is what he looks like.
Seat him in the wire cork holder,
twist a loop in the back of it, poke a length of string through
the loop and stretch the string between two trees, top to bottom,
so there's a steep angle on the string.

Give him a minute to load up... and watch Corky go!
