Jar Jar Jinks

Want to make a pretty candlelight holder?
Here's what you'll need. Most of it is from Tiger - the stuff we bought to decorate
the Christmas wreath we made out of clay.
A Nutella jar or jam jar
Glitter glue or varnish and glitter
A piece of ribbon
A glue gun - for older kids only
Anything else you can find that's pretty, really - even and old earring if you've lost the other one
You can make squiggles or squirls but Jake and Laura did dots

THIS HURTS so don't do it. Glue guns are HOT
Glue the ribbon...
...around the top, bottom or middle of the jar

Dot some glue on the beads or flower you use to decorate
the lace that will go on the jar...
like this little flower I found in my ancient sewing box

We cut the circle of lace from an old remnant...
no not my drawers :o)

And when your jar is good and dry...next day...it will look like this!
Well done Jake
In a few days' time...see how Laura's pretty jar turns out...and over the weeks until the next column, you'll see photos of our trip to Glassuniverset and Gilleleje.
