Trip to an art exhibition in Gilleleje...more photos and a painting or two

The beach was deserted back when we went.
No sunbathing beauties slathered in suncream blocking the view.

Blue Flags mean bathers are welcome. But doggies might be frowned on,
though the rule was not made by Danes.
Dr Watson the Dog doesn't mind.
He gets a decidedly sinking feeling when he sees the sea.

The high street has a toy shop that isn't
related
to Fætter BR!
We found a trendy shop for youngsters and kitted
Jake out with a cap for the summer.

And a wacky sweet shop that could have belonged to
an Oompa Loompa. Remember to brush your teeth!

We trotted down to the harbour, where
we found:
A summer art exhibition...
...where Karinna Damgaard is one of the exhibitors.

We had lunch at the harbour watching seagulls dancing
on nearby roofs - a can-can cabaret.

There's one! As big as a cat!
The boats reminded me of Gt Yarmouth harbour,
where my dad had a boat called The Lady Helen.

In fact our trip was so inspiring that I went home and
started painting again

- for the first time for about two years.
I'm very rusty, but was good to have something to do while Jake
was in Costa Rica with his dad.
